2004 - Born in Augusta, Georgia
I discovered creativity early, often through play. My parents would hand me scraps of fabric, sequined satin and silk chiffon. I would drape them around myself and my sisters, turning them into dresses and stories. When I was eleven, my family moved to Florida, where I attended a small collegiate high school. With four little sisters watching my every move, I learned the importance of awareness, patience, and example, lessons that continue to shape how I move through the world and approach design.
At eighteen, I moved to New York City to study Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where my curiosity grew into discipline. During my sixth semester, I discovered knitwear, a specialization that united structure, texture, and precision, everything I had been intuitively drawn to.
My year abroad at Polimoda in Florence, Italy, was transformative. Immersed in a new culture and often on my own, I learned to embrace discomfort, independence, and freedom as essential parts of growth. Traveling solo across Europe deepened my appreciation for observation, stillness, and self-direction.
Now, continuing my studies in knitwear at Nottingham Trent University in England, I spend my days exploring the dialogue between innovation and tradition in knitwear. I’m driven by curiosity, challenge, and the freedom to create without limits, values that define both my work and the way I see the world.
